    Dodgers notes - minor league edition

    - Brent Leach has reportedly decided not to pitch in winter ball for Tiburones de La Guaira in Venezuela. Single-A Inland Empire manager Carlos Subero manages the team and said Joe Torre had wanted Leach to pitch.

    - Blake DeWitt had a two-hit game on Saturday in the Dominican Republic after starting off his winter ball campaign with one hit in 15 at-bats.

    - Javy Guerra pitched a scoreless inning, walking two in the Arizona Fall League’s Rising Stars Showcase on Saturday.

    - Double-A Chattanooga athletic trainer Yosuke Nakajima also represented the organization at the Rising Stars game. Apparently, his nickname is “possum.”

    - Dave Collins, who resigned as Inland Empire manager before the 2008 season due to family reasons, has resurfaced as the Marlins’ major league first base coach.
